How is a non-surgical nose job done?

A non-surgical nose job (also called “liquid nose job” or “liquid rhinoplasty”) is a procedure that uses hyaluronic acid-based injectable dermal fillers in the nose to harmonize a patient’s overall facial appearance.

Dr. Maercks’s trained eye can recognize inconsistencies and balance them out to achieve the desired result for the patient. He can minimize asymmetries by straightening the bridge of the nose, modifying the tip, and boosting out the nasal base to harmonize the subunits of the face.

What issues can be corrected?

  • Bump on nasal bridge
  • Low nasal bridge
  • Asymmetry
  • Scars
  • Pinched nasal tip
  • Drooping nasal tip
  • Crooked nose

Non-surgical rhinoplasty procedure details

After the skin has been cleansed and prepped, a hyaluronic, acid-based solution (dermal filler) is injected underneath the skin in areas of the nose where volume needs to be created and where the nose needs to be re-shaped. Any discomfort can be minimized with a topical anesthetic, and the majority of patients report very little pain. A non-surgical nose job treatment typically takes about 15 to 30 minutes.

FAQ

How much does a non-surgical nose job in Miami cost?

The cost will vary from patient to patient, as different levels of correction will need to be done on a case-by-case basis. The type of dermal filler(s) used will also factor into the cost. In general, a non-surgical rhinoplasty in Miami costs between $600 and $1,500.

Is a non-surgical rhinoplasty safe?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is safe when performed by a highly trained, certified, skilled, experienced doctor. The nose is a very delicate area with many arteries running through it, so it’s of the utmost importance that you choose a provider who has a deep understanding of facial anatomy and extensive knowledge of how to place cosmetic injections properly.

What if I’m unhappy with the results?

One of the best things about a non-surgical nose job is that if you’re unhappy with the results, they’re not permanent. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, so if you’re not satisfied with your results, please let your doctor know.

How to prepare for treatment

Stop taking any anti-inflammatory medications (aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, omega 3, and fish oil supplements) for a week before your non-surgical rhinoplasty, as these may increase bruising and bleeding. Stopping the consumption of alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment will also help you to not bruise as much.

Recovery and results

Downtime with a non-surgical rhinoplasty is very minimal. Although there may be slight tenderness, redness, swelling, and/or bruising for a day or two, patients can resume regular activities immediately after treatment. However, you should avoid a few things for two days following treatment. These include wearing makeup or massaging topical products into the treated areas; touching the areas that were injected; being exposed to extreme heat, and exercising. In addition, it’s important that you avoid wearing glasses and do not undergo any skin treatments for two weeks following treatment. A very big difference between a traditional surgical rhinoplasty and a non-surgical rhinoplasty is that the latter is temporary. Results from a non-surgical nose job are immediate and will last anywhere from six months to two years, depending on the type of dermal filler that is used. Dr. Maercks will determine which fillers should be used for you during your consultation, and he will explain the longevity to you. Repeat sessions can also be done to maintain results.
