Deep dissection is common. Deep support is not.
Most facelifts pull the skin toward the ears. The face gets tighter, but the cheeks stay flat and the result often looks "done."
The MAERCKS Lift™ works in the opposite direction. Dr. Maercks releases and re-suspends the deep support of the face, moving descended volume back up to the cheek. The jawline then appears on its own, and the skin rests without tension.

Dr. Rian A. Maercks is a board-certified plastic surgeon with more than 20 years of experience. After training at Duke, he studied with leading craniofacial and aesthetic surgeons in Paris, Mexico City and Brazil, and was the final craniofacial and aesthetic fellow of the legendary Fernando Ortiz-Monasterio.
That craniofacial foundation is why he sees the face as architecture first and surface second. Since founding The Maercks Institute in 2009, his work has followed one idea: restoration, not reinvention.
