The brow lift procedure

A brow lift typically takes 1 to 2 hours, but the exact amount of time will be determined during your consultation, along with the procedure technique and incision placement.

Recovery and results

You will need to wear the surgical dressing for approximately two days, and your stitches can be removed in about a week at your follow-up visit with Dr. Maercks. Patients usually require 1 to 2 weeks to recover fully but may return to desk-type work in 3 to 5 days following surgery. You should remain fairly inactive for the first few days following the procedure. During the first two weeks after your brow lift, you may experience headaches, numbness, mild pain, tightness, itching, bruising, swelling, and nausea. If needed, Dr. Maercks may prescribe medication to help with this. High-intensity exercise should be avoided for the first 4 to 6 weeks. Early results from your brow lift will be visible at about three weeks, with final results becoming apparent at about four months.
