He is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) and an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Maercks completed his elite training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Duke University Medical Center, one of the most prestigious programmes in the United States.
